The story
苏武奉命出使匈奴,被扣留。匈奴多次劝他投降,他都不答应。匈奴把他送到北海边,让他放公羊,说公羊生了小羊才放他回去。苏武在苦寒之地牧羊十九年,始终手持汉节。后来汉朝与匈奴和好,他才回到长安。
