We believe textbooks are boring.

Language learning should not feel like a chore. At HSK Novels, our mission is to help you master Mandarin through the magic of Xianxia (仙侠) and immersive storytelling.

Our Philosophy

Bridging the gap between HSK exams and real novels.

Every Chinese learner hits the intermediate plateau. You know thousands of words, but native novels like Journey to the West or generic web novels are still too hard.

This is why we created HSK Novels. We take popular web novel genres and rewrite them using strict HSK vocabulary standards.

No robotic translations. No dry dialogues. Just epic stories, cultivation battles, and emotional arcs—tailored to your level.

Story-first reading

Comprehensible input for real progress

Readable Chinese

Stories are written so learners can follow the plot without stopping on every sentence.

Level-aware support

HSK vocabulary, Pinyin, and translations help you stay inside your current learning zone.

Novel energy

The goal is not textbook practice. It is the feeling of finishing one more chapter.

Why learn with us?

Graded by Level

Each reading path is shaped around learner levels, so the story stays challenging without becoming a wall of unknown words.

Built for Reading

Pinyin, translations, and clear chapter structure keep the reading flow moving while you build recognition.

Made for Motivation

We choose stories with momentum, mystery, and emotional arcs because consistency is easier when you want the next chapter.

Level Standard

Aligned with HSK 3.0 vocabulary levels.

Our grading starts from the HSK 3.0 vocabulary system. To make the jump between long-form chapters feel smoother, HSK 4 and HSK 5 are each split into two reading bands.

Reading BandVocabulary Target
HSK 1600 words
HSK 21,000 words
HSK 31,500 words
HSK 4-2,000 words
HSK 4+2,800 words
HSK 5- and above3,600+ words

These vocabulary targets keep the public level labels simple while giving learners smaller steps through the hardest intermediate jump.
