Chapter 20
The master and his two disciples left Gaolaozhuang and continued walking westward.
Sun Wukong was leading the horse, and Zhu Bajie was carrying the luggage.
One evening, they arrived outside a village.
Tang Seng saw an old man resting under a tree, so he walked over and bowed.
He said he was a monk from the east and wanted to borrow a place to stay for the night.
The old man saw the appearances of Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie and was very afraid.
Later, seeing that Tang Seng spoke politely, he felt relieved and invited them into his home.
The old man invited them to eat.
Zhu Bajie ate a lot, consuming more than ten bowls of rice.
The old man's family saw this and were all astonished.
After finishing the meal, the master and his two disciples rested at the old man's house.
The next morning, they thanked the old man and set off on the road again.
Not long after walking, a very high and dangerous mountain appeared ahead.
Suddenly, a strong wind started blowing.
Sun Wukong felt that there was a demon in the wind, immediately took out his golden-hooped staff, and stood in front of Tang Sanzang.
At this moment, a striped tiger jumped out from behind a rock and roared loudly.
Zhu Bajie was startled, picked up his rake, and struck.
But the tiger did not fight with him, turned around, and ran into the forest.
Zhu Bajie shouted loudly and chased after it.
Sun Wukong said to Tang Sanzang: "Master, wait here, do not leave."
After saying that, he also flew up and chased after.
The two chased for a while, and the tiger suddenly stopped.
Zhu Bajie was very happy, raised his rake and struck.
Unexpectedly, when the rake struck down, the tiger turned into a puff of green smoke and disappeared, leaving only a tiger skin on the ground.
Sun Wukong immediately shouted: Not good.
This is the demon's trick.
The two hurriedly ran back.
They saw the white horse and luggage were still there, but Tang Sanzang was gone.
It turned out that the demon used a fake body to lure away Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie, while its true body returned and captured Tang Sanzang.
Zhu Bajie saw that his master was gone, and was so anxious that he stamped his feet.
He cried and said: "Master has been captured by the demon, he definitely won't survive."
The journey to fetch the scriptures can't be done, let's go home."
Sun Wukong heard this and became very angry, grabbed Zhu Bajie's ear, scolded him loudly, telling him not to talk nonsense, and to watch the luggage and horse properly.
Then, Sun Wukong himself jumped onto a cloud, went to find the demon's cave, to rescue the master.
