Sun Wukong saw the monster about to run, immediately transformed back into himself, and asked loudly: "Who are you?"

The monster saw it was Sun Wukong, got scared, turned around, transformed into a gust of wind, and fled back into the cave.

Sun Wukong closely chased behind.

The monster ran into the cave, took out his rake, and came out to fight Sun Wukong.

Sun Wukong asked: "What kind of person are you?"

The monster said: "I used to be a celestial being in heaven, in charge of the Heavenly River."

Because I did something wrong, I was punished and sent to the mortal world.

Sun Wukong then understood why he recognized himself.

The monster angrily said: "You, this Horse Warden."

You previously caused a great disturbance in the Heavenly Palace, harming many celestial beings."

Today you come to interfere with my matters again, I will not let you go.

After saying that, he raised his rake and attacked.

Sun Wukong picked up his golden-banded staff and fought him.

The monster couldn't win, after a few rounds, he ran back into the cave and closed the door.

Sun Wukong first returned to Gao Laozhuang and told Tang Sanzang and Old Master Gao: that monster used to be a celestial being in heaven.

Tang Sanzang and Old Master Gao, knowing this, were no longer afraid.

Then, Sun Wukong returned to the monster's cave again.

He used his golden-banded staff to smash the cave door.

The monster heard the sound, couldn't sleep, and had to come out again holding his rake.

The two fought again for a while.

The monster suddenly stopped and asked: "You are not at the Flower-Fruit Mountain, what are you doing here?"

Did my father-in-law invite you here?"

Sun Wukong said with a smile: "No.

I listened to Guanyin Bodhisattva's words and am now protecting a senior monk to go to the Western Heaven to fetch scriptures, and I happened to pass by here."

Upon hearing this, the monster immediately threw down his rake and asked anxiously: "Where is the scripture-fetcher?

Quickly take me to see him."

Sun Wukong felt strange and asked him carefully.

It turned out that this monster also listened to the Bodhisattva's words, waiting here for the scripture-fetcher, wanting to go to the Western Heaven together.

Sun Wukong was very happy and immediately took the monster back to Gao Laozhuang, telling Tang Seng and Gao Taigong.

Tang Seng was very happy in his heart to see that he had taken on another disciple.

It is said that the Bodhisattva gave him the name Wuneng, and Tang Seng gave him another name called Bajie.

Old Gao was also very happy, prepared food and invited them to eat.

After finishing the meal, Old Gao took out money and clothes, wanting to give them to Tang Seng and the others.

Tang Seng did not want them.

Bajie said: "Just now, when fighting with my senior brother, my clothes and shoes are all torn."

He asked Old Gao for a set of new clothes and new shoes.

When leaving, Bajie said to Old Gao: "Please take good care of my wife."

If we fail in fetching the scriptures, I will still come back."

Sun Wukong heard this, found it funny, and pulled Bajie to set off on the road.
