Soon, the emperor sent Chen Guangrui to Jiangzhou to serve as an official.

Chen Guangrui took his wife Wen Jiao and together they traveled by boat to Jiangzhou.

There were two people on the boat, one named Liu Hong, and one named Li Biao.

Liu Hong saw that Wen Jiao was very beautiful, and also saw Chen Guangrui's official documents, so he wanted to do bad things.

When the boat reached the middle of the river, Liu Hong and Li Biao suddenly took action, killed Chen Guangrui and other people, and threw the bodies into the river.

Liu Hong made Wen Jiao listen to his words.

Wen Jiao already had a child at that time, and for the sake of the child, she had no choice but to agree.

Liu Hong put on Chen Guangrui's clothes, took the official documents, pretended to be Chen Guangrui, and went to Jiangzhou to become an official.

One day, Liu Hong went out.

Wen Jiao was alone at home, her stomach hurt badly, and she gave birth to a boy.

She heard someone speaking to her.

That person said he was the South Pole Star Lord, a deity, and it was Guanyin Bodhisattva who sent him.

The Star Lord said, this child will be very powerful in the future, Liu Hong will return to kill him, must hide the child well.

After speaking, the Star Lord disappeared.

Wen Jiao woke up, she remembered the immortal's words.

She bit her finger, wrote a letter with blood, the letter wrote about the child's matter.

She tore off a piece of clothing, wrapped the child well, and put it together with the letter into a wooden basin.

The sky was not yet bright, she walked to the riverbank, put the wooden basin into the water.

The wooden basin drifted continuously, drifted to Jinshan Temple.

The temple's Elder Faming saw it, had someone fish it out, discovered the child and letter.

The elder had a very good heart, so raised this child.

The child grew up, very smart, the elder made him become a monk, called him Xuanzang.

When Xuanzang was eighteen years old, the elder gave him the letter and told him his story.

Xuanzang learned about his parents' story and was very sad.

He followed the elder's advice and went to Jiangzhou to find his mother Wen Jiao.

Xuanzang quietly gave the letter to his mother; Wen Jiao saw her own handwriting, and the mother and son hugged each other and cried.

Wen Jiao was afraid Liu Hong would find out, so she told Xuanzang to hurry to the capital and seek help from his maternal grandfather Yin Kaishan.

She wrote a letter and gave Xuanzang a jade ring.

Xuanzang arrived in the capital, found his grandfather's house, and gave the letter and jade ring to his grandfather.

Yin Kaishan looked at his daughter's belongings and the letter, and only then realized that his daughter had suffered.

He immediately told Emperor Tang Taizong.

The emperor was very angry upon hearing this and ordered Yin Kaishan to lead troops to Jiangzhou to capture Liu Hong.

The soldiers arrived at Jiangzhou and captured Liu Hong and Li Biao.

Yin Kaishan rescued his daughter Wenjiao, and the family reunited.

Wenjiao took Xuanzang to the riverbank, intending to pay respects to her husband Chen Guangrui.

However, Chen Guangrui was not dead.

It turned out that he had previously saved a golden fish, which was the Hongjiang Dragon King here, the dragon king of the river.

Because Chen Guangrui had saved the dragon king, the dragon king helped him.

After Chen Guangrui died, his body sank to the river bottom, and the dragon king recognized him, using a pearl to preserve his body.

Chen Guangrui's soul was in the dragon palace.

On this day, the dragon king knew that Chen Guangrui's family had come, so he let his soul return to his body and sent him ashore.

While Wenjiao and Xuanzang were crying at the riverbank, Chen Guangrui's body floated up from the water, his face looking like that of a living person.

After a while, he opened his eyes and came back to life.

The family met by the river, crying and laughing.

Yin Kaishan took Liu Hong and Li Biao to the execution ground, killed them, and avenged the wrong.

Chen Guangrui's family went through disaster and finally reunited.

Later, the emperor found out and made Chen Guangrui an official again.

Xuanzang returned to Jinshan Temple, continued to be a monk, and studied diligently.
